Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM):

  • Audience Research Gap Analysis – Desk research, staff interviews/workshops to determine reporting requirements
  • Front-end evaluation , South Gallery – focus groups and workshops

Art Gallery of NSW:

  • Art Pathways Plus Program Evaluation – Research with teacher,  students and artist participants about Art Pathways Plus 2019 program; prepare combined report for three years program

Lake Macquarie City Council:

  • Strategic Planning and develop MOU, West Wallsend Historical Society (two museums)

National Archives Australia:

  • User testing, Permanent Galleries (front-end evaluation)

National Parks and Wildlife Service (NSW):

  • Working under the direction of MayvinGlobal, undertake market sounding and stakeholder analysis for Hill End Historic Site

Northern Territory Major Events Corporation (NTMEC):

  • Working in partnership with IER Customer Research, evaluating ten major NT Festivals focussing on social and cultural impacts on both Territorians and non-Territorians using combination of surveys, telephone interviews and online focus groups

Questacon – the National Science and Technology Centre:

  • Program and Impact evaluation – desk research; workshops with staff to identify and develop program impact measures and logic tool to evaluate a range of outreach programs with students and teachers

 

2018 CLIENT PROJECTS

Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM):

  • Audience Research Training– undertake staff training in how to best conduct surveys and tracking / observation studies on a tight budget, including using Survey Monkey
  • Front-end evaluation , Bligh exhibition – focus groups and workshops

Art Gallery of NSW:

  • Art Pathways Plus Program Evaluation – Research with teacher,  students and artist participants about Art Pathways Plus 2018 program

Association of Australian Convention Bureaux:

  • Working under the direction of MayvinGlobal, develop and analyse industry survey to inform future planning

Barangaroo Development Corporation:

  • Developing the Indigenous Education Program – research with teachers, market scan / competitor analysis, curriculum review / program updates, tourism analysis, training and development work with visitor guides
  • Working with Mayvin Global and Helen Wheeler Consulting

Bible Society of Australia:

  • Working with Environmetrics undertake research into exhibition venues across the GLAM industry, and compile a set of different programming ideas (beyond an exhibition) for a concept around the bible

Museums and Galleries of the Northern Territory (MAGNT):

  • Review current audience research reports and prepare summary report addressing exhibition visitors and general audiences
  • Produce Excel template to produce future data summaries to enable comparisons across data sets more easily
  • Research different types of audience segmentation and recommend a way forward for MAGNT

Mississippi Museum of Art:

  • Assist with Strategic Planning and Audience Research implementation working with Brocade Studio

National Archives Australia

  • Facilitate staff workshop around developing focus exhibitions, write report and recommendations

Transport Heritage NSW:

  • Feasibility Study, Visitor Snapshot and Sector Census for NSW heritage rail operators and rail / bus / tram museums, working with Environmetrics

2017 CLIENT PROJECTS

Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM):

  • Audience Research Summary – meta-analysis of 45 audience research studies conducted 2014-2016 for the Director to obtain an overall picture of ANMM audiences
  • Volunteer Research – survey of volunteers; data collection and analysis; report writing and recommendations
  • Brand Research Management – manage procurement process; work with contractors on focus group recruitment and discussion guide; organise and attend fieldwork; undertake focus groups with ANMM Members; debrief creative agencies; analysis and final reporting, including making vox-pop films
  • Exhibition Topic Testing – focus groups to test out five exhibition concepts with range of audiences

State Library of NSW:

  • Teacher Research – desk research; focus groups with teachers; analysis and reporting

Australian Institute for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS):

  • Public Program Strategy – document review; staff interviews and workshops; audience research (focus groups Canberra and Parramatta); write strategy – present to Executive

Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD):

  • Transformative Learning (TL) – desk research; workshops with staff to identify TL indicators for visitors and what a “call to action” looks like
  • Teacher Research – what teachers want from a visit to MoAD (either onsite or digital; survey of teachers Australia-wide to test out programs ideas; workshop to identify TL indicators for students
  • Audience Research – develop concept for an “Ideas Room”; onsite visitor research to develop segmentation
